Adelaide Entertainment Centre is South Australia’s leading contemporary indoor entertainment venue. For more than 30 years, the venue has been Adelaide’s home of live entertainment, helping guests ‘live life live!’ through the hosting of world-class concerts, spectaculars and national sporting events.

For basketball fans, Adelaide Entertainment Centre is South Australia’s home of basketball, or more specifically, the home of the Adelaide 36ers – one of the NBL’s pre-eminent clubs and key components of Australia’s premier men’s basketball competition. In the lead up to each game, the venue’s Arena is transformed into basketball mode with the installation of the Brett Maher Court, a FIBA standard competition court. Since making the move to Adelaide Entertainment Centre in 2019, Sixers’ fans have entrenched the venue as their home, with matches regularly drawing sellout crowds.  It’s a natural fit as basketball continues to deliver as one of Australia’s leading sports entertainment.

In 2024, netball fans will also call the Adelaide Entertainment Centre home, with the venue playing host to South Australia’s premier netball team and reigning premiers of the Suncorp Super Netball league – the Adelaide Thunderbirds. With the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final confirmed to be played at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, there’s high hopes the Thunderbirds make it two in a row!

Adelaide Entertainment Centre is conveniently located on the fringe of the Adelaide CBD and easily accessible via Adelaide’s public transport networks, including a free city tram service. Guests are welcomed to the venue in breathtaking fashion thanks to its large dome entry, The Orb—the most spectacular venue entry in Australia, which comes alight each evening in a kaleidoscope of colours.
